Willoughby Mayor Pat Reilly said the Library will stock in excess of 6,000 items with collections including fiction, non-fiction and AV material for adults and young children. "As the library is located next to a Seniors Living project we anticipate many residents will use the library for reading newspapers, magazines, large print books and internet use," he said.
A separate Children's area with children's collection and venue for small craft activities will also provide an opportunity for the children in the area to participate in all sorts of children's activities such as story time for pre-schoolers.
Willoughby Councils Environmental Services Director Greg Woodhams said that Castle Cove Branch Library will be a welcome addition to Willoughby City's network of Branch Libraries which already includes Artarmon, Naremburn, Northbridge and Castlecrag.
"Council is pleased that Watermark has incorporated the facility in this exciting project as it will bring the residents and the local Castle Cove community together," said Mr Woodhams.
The library entry will be from Deepwater Road, allowing easy access for all users while protecting the privacy and security of the Watermark Castle Cove appartments.
Disablility access is also provided.
Watermark's management will also incorporate a Book Club as part of their social club program.
Watermark Castle Cove is due for completion in April 2009. Luxury apartments are now being sold off the plan .You can visit the display suite at 12 Deepwater Road Castle Cove between 10am - 1pm Monday to Saturday.
