| Summit Rehabilitation, a South Australian-based company, distributes nationally the European-designed Handi-Move to assist people with a disability to move around their homes and maintain a greater level of independence. The Handi-Move range offers ergonomically-designed mechanical body support systems, ceiling tracks and a variety of lifters to take the difficulty and carer strain out of moving around.
Handi-Move systems come in many forms, depending on the users specific disability or mobility problems. Some systems are comprehensive and involve installing ceiling tracks, along which a unique suspended body support system travels, so that the user can move from one place to another with minimal or no assistance. Others provide a lifting system to enable people to get in and out of pools, spas, cars and toilets. |
